    Hello fellow Dragon Blood Players!
This guide will be explaining about Talent Cards, as well as how the Talents and the Talent Card Exchange features function.

Talent Cards can have game-changing effects, from reviving your hero to increasing your critical damage, so having the right talent cards are important. Once you hit level 80 you will have unlocked the Talents and Talent Card Exchange features, which allows you to use Talent Cards and obtain them through shards.

The Talents icon will appear among the bottom icons:

And the Talent Card Exchange icon will appear among the top icons:

Before going into those two features, I will explain a little about what talent cards do and combinations will be explained last.

    Talent Cards
Talent cards have a percentage based effect, and varies greatly depending on what card you use. For example Scorpio increases your damage by a certain percentage:
As you can see in the picture, talent cards also give a small amount of flat stats (in this case PATK+MATK). The stats will either be HP or PATK+MATK, depending on the card. Usually defense oriented cards will give HP and offense oriented cards will give PATK+MATK, though there are exceptions (For example Cancer has a defensive effect, but still gives PATK+MATK). The flat stats are the same for every card at all levels, so there are no cards giving more flat stats than the others, provided that they are of equal quality and level. If you would like to see which one of the stats your card has, simply hover over it in the Talents feature.

    Level and Quality
You may already have noticed that talent cards have 2 different colors, orange and purple:
    [IMG] [IMG]
This is their quality and the orange cards are simply better versions of the purple cards and vice versa. They both cost the same to upgrade, but the orange cards will give an increased effect and more flat stats than a purple card would if they both were at the same level. Furthermore the orange cards have a max level of 10 while the purple ones can only be leveled up to level 5. When talent cards are leveled up, both their flat stats and effects increases, so getting your talent cards to a high level will make your heroes even stronger.

    Talents

In the Talents feature, you can hover over any talent card to see it's effects, flat stats and combinations. You can also click "View the combinations", to view all possible Talent Card Combinations (combinations will be explained later).
There are three different tabs: Equip, Upgrade and Recycle. I will be explaining the functions of all three tabs, starting with the "Equip" tab.

    The Equip tab
    [IMG]
As the name states, this is the tab where you equip talent cards. You simply select the hero that you would like to equip the talent card on from the bottom where the icons of each hero will be displayed. Then you click the talent card you would like to equip, which will then be highlighted and an "Equip" button should appear:
To equip several talent cards on a single hero, you will need to unlock more sockets:
The sockets are unlocked with Socketing Rods which can be obtained in the shop:
It costs 1 Socketing Rod to unlock the 2nd socket and 3 to unlock the 3rd and last. When you get a new hero, these sockets will have to be unlocked again, so opening all 3 on your main character before other heroes is recommended.

    The Upgrade tab
    [IMG]
This is where you upgrade the level of your talent cards, which will increase their effect. To upgrade a talent card you must spend an increasing amount of Star Soul per level and after level 3 you will also need an increasing amount of additional purple, level 1 talent cards (it will only take level 1 cards), of the same kind. If you're raising the level of an orange card which has a max level of 10, you will also need additional orange talent cards, after level 7.
To upgrade a talent card, first click on the card you would like to upgrade. The card should be highlighted and both it's current stats and the stats it will have after it's been upgraded should be shown. After this simply click the "upgrade" button, which will be highlighted if you have all the needed materials to upgrade the card.
It is worth to note that talent card's flat stats will also increase when upgraded, even though it does not display that these stats will increase or by how much they will increase.

    The Recycle tab
    [IMG]
This is where you can sell and reset your talent cards. Recycling a level 1 talent card will sell it and give you star soul in return. You can also sell your shards to get star soul. You will receive 300 star soul for a purple card (3 star soul per shard) and 1000 star soul for an orange card (10 star soul per shard).
If you want to undo what ever upgrades you have done to a talent card, the recycle function can also reset the talent card back to level 1 and give back the star soul and purple cards that you used to level it up. This costs a few balens depending on how much they have been upgraded (10 balens per level).

    Talent Card Exchange
    [IMG]
To use the Talent Card Exchange feature, you will need 100 Talent Card Shards. These can be obtained from various events (Talent Card Chests in Wild Loot and the Exchange Shop in CSA are a couple of free examples).
The shards will be located in your bag:
You can also track the amount of shards you have for specific talent cards in the Talent Card Exchange feature, by looking at the number displayed bellow each talent card, which indicates your current amount of shards:
Once you have 100 shards you can click the "Exchange" button to receive the corresponding talent card.

    Combinations
If you've made it this far then you already have the basic knowledge about talent cards and how they work, and you're ready to move on to the more advanced part; combinations.
When you have 3 talent cards equipped certain combinations of cards will give you a combination effect:
This basically functions the same way as having an extra talent card equipped (it gives you both an effect and flat stats, like a normal talent card would).
The power of your combo effect is based on the weakest talent card equipped, which means that if not all your cards in the combo are orange quality, you will not get the power of an orange card for you combo effect. This also means that the level of your lowest level talent card will be the "level" of your combo effect.
As an example, the Gemini talent card and "Infinite Fury" combo have the same function (increased critical damage):
    [IMG] [IMG]

This means that if you have two of the cards for the "Infinite Fury" combo at level 5 and the last one at level 2, your combo effect will be the same as having an extra level 2 Gemini card.
While if you have all 3 cards at level 4, your combo effect will be the same as having an extra level 4 Gemini card.
Therefore I would recommend to try leveling up all your talent cards in a combo, and not just 1 of them. That being said though, talent cards are hard to obtain so this is not as easy as it sounds, and to be honest it really comes down to preference and what you are trying to achieve when choosing what cards to level up. However there should be no issue taking all the talent cards in your combo to level 3, since it does not require additional talent cards to level up a card before level 3.

That concludes my guide on talent cards. If you have any questions etc. feel free to ask!
    Any feedback is appreciated
    :)

You forgot to mention that you have to unlock the sockets for each and every hero. If you put a new hero in your front lines they won't have the sockets.

There is also events with free participation where you can obtain some shards (more if you use balens) like Heros Altar. Except for that I can't think of other free ways, but I'll post it if I can remeber something. If anyone else know other free ways feel free to post it here for future readers!
